Enchilada Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 large onion, chopped
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 can mushroom soup
    1 small can evaporated milk
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 can enchilada sauce
    1 can jalapeno peppers
    12 to 14 corn tortillas
    grated cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Brown onion in butter; add meat.
    When meat is no longer pink, add rest of ingredients except cheese.
    Simmer about 30 minutes. Grease a pan and layer tortillas and meat mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
