Pumpkin Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. spice cake mix
    3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. Crisco
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 can pumpkin pie filling
    2 c. whipped topping
    pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Combine dry cake mix, oil, salt and baking soda.
    Mixture will be crumbly.
    Press evenly in ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until crust is browned at edges.
    Meanwhile, prepare pie filling recipe as directed on can.
    Pour over hot baked crust.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until center is firm.
    Cool.
    Garnish with dollops of whipped topping.
