Warm Broccoli Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. fresh broccoli
    4 slices bacon
    1/2 c. sliced green onions
    1/4 c. balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    1 (2 oz.) jar sliced pimientos, drained
    1 hard-cooked egg, grated or finely chopped
Preparation
    Cook broccoli in boiling water to cover for 1 minute.
    Drain immediately and plunge into a bowl of ice water to stop cooking process.
    Drain; pat dry.
