Kentucky Butter Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Cream the butter with the sugar. Blend into the creamed butter the eggs, one at a time. Combine the buttermilk or sour milk and vanilla. Add liquid alternately with the dry ingredients, beginning and ending with dry. Blend well into creamed mixture after each addition (low speed on mixer). Turn into 10-inch tube pan or Bundt pan greased on bottom. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 60 to 65 minutes until cake springs back. Run spatula along edge and stem of pan. Prick cake with fork while still in pan. Pour sauce over. Cool before removing. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
