Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. dark Karo syrup
    1/4 c. melted butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix syrup, sugar and salt.
    Add eggs; beat well.
    Stir in melted butter and vanilla.
    Add pecans.
    A few whole pecans may be used for decoration.
    Pour into a 9-inch pie crust and bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
    A knife inserted comes out clean when baked.
