Taffy Pull - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. water
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar, water, butter and cream of tartar in saucepan and place over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.
    Increase heat (do not stir) until a firm ball can be made by dropping a bit into cold water, or 250\u00b0 by candy thermometer.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Pour into greased pan.
