Egg Noodles With German Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 slice white bread, cubed
    2 medium onions, grated
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    3/4 c. raisins
    3 1/2 c. undrained sauerkraut
    8 gingersnaps
    2 (8 oz. each) cans tomato sauce
    8 oz. egg noodles (rigatoni), cooked and drained
Preparation
    Combine beef, bread, half of onions, salt and pepper.
    Shape into 1-inch balls.
    In Dutch oven or large pot, combine remaining onions, sugar, raisins, sauerkraut, gingersnaps and tomato sauce. Add meatballs and simmer 1 1/2 hours.
    Serve over cooked and drained noodles.
    Serves 4.
