Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 medium cabbage
    2 c. American cheese, grated
    1 1/2 c. sour cream
    1 c. buttered bread crumbs
    1/4 c. wine (optional)
Preparation
    Brown
    onion
    in butter.
    Add ground beef and brown and season.
    Cut cabbage into squares. Add to beef mixture.
    Cover and cook
    slowly until the cabbage becomes translucent (about 10 minutes).
    Add cheese, sour cream and wine.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Put in
    1
    quart greased casserole dish.
    Top with bread crumbs.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Makes 6 servings.
