Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. scalded milk
    3 eggs, separated
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    18 vanilla wafers
    3 large sliced bananas
Preparation
    Blend 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla.
    Add milk and cook over double boiler until thick, stirring constantly (approximately 15 minutes).
    Beat egg yolks slightly.
    Add custard gradually to eggs.
    Return to double boiler.
    Cook two minutes.
    Layer dish with wafers and bananas; cover with custard.
