Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    iceberg lettuce
    1/2 chopped green pepper
    1/2 chopped red pepper
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped sweet red onion or green onion
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas (uncooked)
    3/4 c. mayonnaise
    3/4 c. sour cream
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 oz. grated cheese
    bacon bits
Preparation
    Line a 13 x 9-inch serving dish with pieces of lettuce. Over this,
    sprinkle
    the
    green
    pepper, red pepper, celery, onion and
    peas.
    Mix
    mayonnaise,
    sour
    cream and sugar and spread over the peas.
    Sprinkle the top with the grated cheese and bacon bits.
    Refrigerate overnight before serving.
