Plum Or Peach Custard Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 (1 lb. 14 oz.) can purple plums, drained and pitted or peach halves, drained
    1 egg
    1 c. cream for whipping
Preparation
    Cream the margarine and sugar.
    Sift flour, salt, cinnamon and baking powder.
    Blend into creamed mixture until crumbly.
    Measure out about 1/3 of mixture and press remaining mixture evenly into bottom and about 1 inch up sides of ungreased 9-inch pie pan. Arrange plums or peaches in shell.
    Sprinkle with saved mixture. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
