Country Fried Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. boneless round steak
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. Puritan oil
1/4 c. water
1 medium onion, sliced
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Mix together flour, salt and pepper.
Cut steak into 4 pieces. Coat with flour mixture.
Dip steak in beaten egg or Egg Beaters, then back in flour.
Heat oil in skillet over medium heat.
Brown on both sides.
Add water and onion; cover and simmer 1 hour. Drain excess fat.
