Helen'S Favorite Lime Sherbet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. water
    1 1/2 c. lime juice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    6 c. cream
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Boil sugar and water together until it forms a thick syrup. Add salt, allow mixture to cool.
    Add cream, lime juice and vanilla; freeze.
    Makes 6 quarts.
    This is for a 6-quart freezer.
