Aunt Margaret'S Peppernuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    2 c. butter (1 lb.)
    2 eggs
    2 c. molasses
    2 c. canned milk
    4 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. anise
    flour for stiff dough (about 4 sifters)
Preparation
    Mix the ingredients and roll into ropes.
    Cut into 1/2-inch pieces and bake 7 minutes in 400\u00b0 oven.
