Dilled Vegetable Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp. chopped fresh dill weed or 1 1/2 tsp. dried whole dill weed
    1 tsp. onion powder
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 lb. fresh whole green beans
    3 large carrots, cut into julienne strips
    3 stalks celery, cut into julienne strips
Preparation
    Combine the first 7 ingredients in a large saucepan.
    Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
    Add beans, carrots and celery.
    Return mixture to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
    Place vegetables in a shallow container; pour vinegar mixture over vegetables.
    Cover and chill at least 8 hours.
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
