Jam Dandy Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/4 c. milk
    1 egg
Preparation
    Put all in bowl together. Beat 50 quick strokes with a fork. Pour into greased 9-inch pan. Sprinkle top with 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup nuts (chopped). Dot with jam or jelly (about 2/3 cup). Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 375\u00b0. Serve warm.
