Ingredients

5 Tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
3 beaten eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 2/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
2 c. persimmon puree
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugars.
Stir in eggs, milk and vanilla. Set aside.
Sift together flour, soda, cinnamon, salt, baking powder and cloves.
Add flour mixture to mixture you set aside. Add in persimmon puree.
Mix well.
Pour in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
May add Cool Whip or whipping cream to top of pudding.
