Sauerkraut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. chopped sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. water
Preparation

Cream butter with sugar.
Beat eggs with vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients; add alternately with water and egg mixture.
Stir in thoroughly rinsed and chopped kraut.
Turn into greased and floured 8 inch square or round pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Cool on rack.
Top with Mocha Cream Frosting.
