Spice Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    4 c. flour
    8 Tbsp. molasses
    2 eggs, beaten well
    2 tsp. each: ginger, cloves, salt and cinnamon
    2 c. sugar (white)
    4 level tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream
    shortening
    and\tsugar.\tAdd
    eggs and molasses. Sift dry
    ingredients
    and
    add\tto sugar mixture.
    Form dough into balls
    the size of walnuts.
    Dip one side into granulated sugar. Place sugared side up
    on
    cookie
    sheet, allowing for spread. They will rise and then
    flatten.
    Bake 15 minutes in hot 375\u00b0 oven.
