Never Fail Dumplings(Serves 6) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 c. milk
    meat stock or chicken broth
Preparation
    Sift flour with baking powder and salt; cut in shortening. Add enough milk to make a drop batter.
    Drop by spoonfuls into boiling stock.
    Cover tightly and cook for 10 minutes.
    Serve at once.
