Raspberry Pinwheels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 (9 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. red raspberry preserves
    1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts

Preparation
    In a large mixer bowl at medium speed, beat butter or margarine and cream cheese until light and fluffy.
    Beat in 1/2 cup sugar, vanilla and salt.
    At low speed, gradually beat in flour until mixture forms a ball.
    Divide dough into two portions. Cover and chill for 30 minutes or until firm enough to handle.
