Ingredients

5 1/2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. nutmeg
3 eggs, beaten
1 c. milk
6 Tbsp. lard, melted
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Add eggs, milk and lard.
Mix all together.
Roll out about 1/2-inch thick.
Fry in deep, hot lard.
Drain.
Roll in granulated sugar.
