Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1 can pineapple
    2 containers Cool Whip
    1 pkg. shredded coconut
    1 small box vanilla pudding
    1 pkg. (2 c.) pecan halves or more if desired
Preparation
    Mix cake according to directions on box.
    Bake in 2 round cake pans.
    Cool.
    Mix pudding according to directions on box.
    Put one cake layer in bottom of punch bowl.
    Cover with 1/2 of the pudding.
    Cover with 1/2 cherry pie filling, then 1/2 of the pineapple, 1/2 of the coconut, 1 carton Cool Whip and 1 cup of pecan halves.
    Repeat with second cake layer and remaining ingredients.
