Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. peeled, cubed potatoes
    1 c. water
    2 cans cream of chicken soup
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dried parsley
    3-4 oz. cream cheese (cut up)
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter in a saucepan.
    Add potatoes and water. Cook covered until potatoes are tender.
    Add soup, milk, salt, parsley and cream cheese.
    Heat thoroughly.
    Top with sharp Cheddar cheese, if desired.
