Tostada Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (8 oz.) can chopped green chilies
    cooking oil
    6 (10 inch) flour tortillas
    2 large tomatoes, chopped
    1 small head lettuce, shredded
    1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    chopped green onions
    salsa
    olives
    sour cream
Preparation
    In skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic until brown.
    Drain well; add chili powder, salt and chilies.
    Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes.
    In heavy skillet, heat 1/4 inch oil.
    Fry tortillas one at a time.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Place tortillas on plates; divide ingredients equally.
    Layer in following order:
    Beef mixture, tomato, lettuce and cheese.
    Garnish as desired.
