Epicurean Beef Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef chuck or stewing beef, cut in 2-inch chunks
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
    1 c. Burgundy
    1 (10 oz.) can condensed consomme
    2 medium onions
    1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine beef, wine, consomme, salt, pepper and onions in casserole.
    Mix crumbs with flour and stir into meat.
    Cover and bake in a slow oven (300\u00b0) for about 3 hours or until beef is tender.
    Serves 6.
