Fried Pies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg (beat in 1 c. milk)
Preparation

Sift
together dry ingredients; cut in shortening.
Add egg beaten in milk to dry ingredients.\tKnead lightly and wrap tightly in\tplastic
bag.
Chill
in
refrigerator\tat least 2 hours. Roll
dough
thin;\tfill
with
cold
fruit (canned or dried). Fry in cooking oil on medium heat until brown on both sides. (Pies should be a half-moon shape.)
