Decent Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. cold water
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix cornstarch and cold water. Add boiling water and
    cook over medium heat until smooth and clear.
    Cool. Beat egg whites with sugar and vanilla. Beat in the starch mixture, mixing well. Spread over pie filling.
    Bake in oven until brown.
