Lila'S Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. 100% Bran cereal (Nabisco)
2 c. boiling water
2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
4 eggs, beaten
1 qt. buttermilk
5 tsp. soda
5 c. flour (may use white or whole wheat or combination of both)
1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. all-bran cereal
1 lb. raisins
Preparation

Mix cereal and boiling water and set aside to cool.
Mix sugar, oil, eggs, buttermilk, soda, flour and salt together with cooled cereal mixture.
Add all-bran cereal and raisins.
Pour into muffin cups and bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
Snipped dried apricots, chopped fresh apple or chopped cranberries may be added for half the raisins.
Chopped nuts are a good addition. This keeps in the refrigerator for 4 weeks, or bake all at once and freeze.
