Creole Shrimp And Okra - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 lb. bacon, chopped
1 medium onion, sliced
1 small green pepper, cleaned and chopped
2 tsp. seafood seasoning blend
1 large clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 large can stewed tomatoes and juice
1/4 c. tomato paste
1 c. hot water
3/4 lb. fresh okra, chopped
1 lb. medium shrimp, shelled and deveined
3 c. cooked rice (1 c. uncooked)
Preparation

Combine bacon, onion, green pepper, garlic, seafood seasoning and red pepper.
Cover with plastic wrap; cook in a microwave-safe dish for 5 minutes, stirring once after 3 minutes.
Stir in tomatoes with juice, tomato paste and water.
Cover; heat in microwave on High for 8 minutes.
Add okra; stir in and heat for 5 minutes.
Add shrimp.
Cover; let stand.
Serve with rice.
Makes 4 servings.
