Walnut Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

5 c. peeled thinly sliced tart apples
1/4 c. water
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
dash of salt
1/2 c. butter
1 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
1/2 c. rolled oats
Preparation

Set oven to 350\u00b0.
In shallow, 2-quart baking dish, combine apples, water and lemon juice.
In large bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt; mix well.
Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in walnuts and oats. Sprinkle evenly over apples.
