Coconut-Black Walnut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

2 cups sugar
1 cup salad oil
4 eggs, beaten
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup chopped black walnuts
1 cup flaked coconut
2 teaspoons coconut extract
coconut syrup
Preparation

Combine sugar, salad oil, and egg; beat well.
Combine dry ingredients; add to sugar mixture alternately with buttermilk beating well after each addition.
Stir in nuts, coconut, and flavoring.
