Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 medium apples
1 stick margarine
1 unbeaten egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
raisins and nuts (if desired)
Preparation

Put 1 cup of sugar over 2 coarsely cut, medium apples.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Add margarine or butter (melted) and unbeaten egg.
Sift together the flour, salt, soda and spices.
Stir well. Add raisins and nuts, if desired.
Bake in 8-inch square pan at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
