Congo Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. margarine, melted
    2 1/4 c. brown sugar
    3 eggs
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Set aside.
    Melt margarine in a large saucepan.
    Stir in brown sugar and allow to cool slightly.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
    Add flour mixture, nuts and chocolate chips.
    Pour into a greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Cut into squares. Yield: 50 to 60 squares.
