Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. dry oatmeal (quick)
1 1/4 c. boiling water
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Grease and flour 13 x 9-inch pan.
Pour boiling water over oatmeal.
Add soda.
Let set for 10 minutes.
Add butter, sugars and eggs; mix.
Then add rest of ingredients.
Mix well.
Pour batter in pan.
