Barbecued Spareribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. spareribs (3-inch lengths)
    1 piece crushed ginger
    1 c. white sugar
    3/4 c. shoyu sauce
    1 c. catsup
    1/3 c. oyster sauce
Preparation
    Boil ribs in a pot of water with the ginger for 1 hour. Combine rest of ingredients to make the sauce.
    After boiling the ribs, marinate for 1 hour in the sauce.
    Barbecue over charcoal or oven broil until brown.
