Potato Cheese Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. melted margarine
    3 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
    1 medium onion, chopped
    salt
    paprika
    3 c. scalded milk
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. American cheese slices, diced
Preparation
    In 3-quart saucepan, melt margarine.
    Add potatoes, onion, salt and paprika.
    Cook until vegetables are lightly brown and tender.
    Add milk and cheese; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is hot and cheese is melted and smooth.
    Spoon into 4 soup bowls and sprinkle with paprika.
    Serve with assorted crackers.
