Historic Natchitoches Hot-Ta-Meat Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 1/2 lb. ground pork
    2 large dry onions
    6 green onions, chopped
    3 tsp. chopped parsley
Preparation
    Make a roux of shortening and flour; add other ingredients and salt and pepper to taste.
    Cook thoroughly and let cool completely before placing it on dough.
