Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter
    and
    sugar.
    Beat well at medium speed of an electric mixer.
    Add eggs, beating well.
    In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, soda and nutmeg; add alternately with buttermilk
    to the creamed mixture, mixing well.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Drop
    by
    tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at
    375\u00b0
    for
    10 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Cool slightly and
    move
    to wire racks to cool completely.
    Makes 3 dozen.
