Carbonnades Flamanndes(Flemish Beef Stew) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. beef cubes
    flour
    3/4 c. butter
    8 onions, sliced
    4 cloves garlic, crushed
    16 oz. can beer
    2 c. beef broth
    1/4 brown sugar
    1/4 minced parsley
    4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. thyme
    1 tsp. marjoram
    1 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Dredge meat in flour and brown in 1/2 butter in heavy skillet or Dutch oven.
    Sprinkle 1/2 cup more flour over meat, mix well. In a separate skillet, saute garlic, onions and butter remaining. Combine meat in large casserole.
    Add remaining ingredients except vinegar.
    Cover and bake at 325\u00b0 for 2 hours or until tender.
    Stir occasionally.
    Add vinegar shortly before serving with noodles or rice.
    Can be cooked in Dutch oven on top of stove, covered.
