Homemade Play Dough(Nonedible) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. salt
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    food coloring
Preparation
    Thoroughly mix together preceeding ingredients.
    Stir constantly over medium heat until mixture pulls away from sides of pan.
    Cool slightly and knead thoroughly.
    Store in an airtight container.
    It lasts a long time and has a better texture than commercial play dough.
    (You may add a few drops of oil of wintergreen or cinnamon to give a pleasant aroma, but only if the children understand it's not to eat!)
