Priscilla'S Buns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. soft lard or butter
    1 Tbsp. salt
    6 c. flour (approximately)
    1 egg, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in the water.
    In a large bowl, mix 2 cups warm water, sugar, shortening and salt.
    Add 2 cups flour.
    Beat, then add egg and yeast.
    Mix well.
    Add remaining flour.
    Mix with spoon, about 60 strokes.
    Dough will be soft.
    Let rise in greased bowl.
    Grease top of dough.
    Punch down; let rise again.
    Form into desired shapes.
    Let rise.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 until medium brown, 15 minutes.
