Summer Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large onions
    1 green pepper
    2 cloves garlic, chopped (optional)
    3 small summer squash
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 lb. grated cheese
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. oregano
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Chop onions and pepper.
    Slice squash (1/4-inch slices). Saute onions in butter until golden brown; add pepper and garlic and cook about 5 minutes.
    Layer veggies in a greased 2 to 3-quart casserole.
    Sprinkle with sugar, oregano, salt and pepper.
    Top with grated cheese.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 20 to 30 minutes. Serves 8.
