Ingredients

1 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients.
Beat until well mixed.
Roll out on well floured surface.
Sprinkle a little bit of flour on top (don't work into dough).
Roll dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch.
Cut with 3-inch cookie cutter.
Place cookies on a cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake 7 to 10 minutes.
Makes 36 cookies.
