Grandad'S Pork Chop Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pork chops
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. rice
    1 bay leaf, crushed
    1 (9 oz.) frozen green beans
    1 can cream of celery soup
    1 1/2 cans water
Preparation
    Combine salt, thyme and pepper.
    Put on chops and brown in shortening.
    Sprinkle rice in greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Add chops, bay leaf and beans.
    Pour on undiluted soup and 1 1/2 soup cans of water.
    Cover with foil and bake at 350` for 1 1/4 hours.
