Peppermint Candy Canes(Makes 24 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large egg whites, at room temperature
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. mint flavored liqueur
    1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
Preparation
    Line 2 large baking sheets with wax paper; set aside.
    Fit a large pastry bag with a 1/4-inch round tip.
    Dip a cotton swab in red food coloring; paint 5 or 6 lengthwise parallel lines inside bag; set aside and let stripes dry completely.
