Pecan Crispies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. butter
    2 well-beaten eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients, then nut meats.
    Drop from a teaspoon, about 2 inches apart onto a greased cookie sheet.
    Bake in a moderate 350\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Makes 5 dozen cookies.
