Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter or margarine
5 Tbsp. Crisco
5 eggs
3 c. Swans Down cake flour
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract or 1 c. black walnuts, rolled in flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
-
Cream butter, sugar and Crisco.
Add all eggs, slightly beaten.
Add flour and milk (starting and ending with flour).
Add flavoring and baking powder.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours in tube cake pan.
