Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar or small part brown
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
Preparation
    Cook ingredients to soft ball.
    Add 1 1/2 to 2 cups whole pecans.
    Stir until mixture starts to sugar, but is not yet sugared.
    Now work quickly.
    Spoon onto aluminum foil to cool in 2-inch diameter piles.
