Sliced Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

pastry for a 2 crust pie
2 to 3 medium sweet potatoes
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
juice of 1/2 lemon
Preparation

Peel and slice potatoes.
Blanch in boiling water and the juice of lemon.
Cool.
Lay out the bottom crust in pie tin.
Mix together the sugars, salt and cinnamon.
Layer the potatoes with the sugar mixture.
Dot each layer as you go with butter.
Drizzle the top layer with vanilla.
Top with remaining crust.
Crimp and brush with milk.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 45 minutes.
Best if served warm.
